The spy who loved wine
Posted on | July 4, 2005
On this national holiday in the USA, I have set myself up as a wine spy for the CIA.
Everyone knows that during their spare hours, it orientates its spy satellites to track the great French vineyards
. Have they already rummaged overhead at Vingrau? Hum, small chance. But, me, I’ve done it, thanks to the new service from Google, google.map [http://maps.google.com/ ] (to navigate around the world, use the arrows on the top left).
And since you’re there, click HERE to see a magnificent satellite image of Vingrau, small dark colured smudge above the ugly white holes of the quarries which continue to spoil our country.
Play with the arrows to find Tautavel, Maury, Calce, all the great terroirs of Rousillon.
I am curious to see which vineyard you try and see next…![]()
