People in Wine - A matter of taste

Posted on | September 11, 2005

Just thought we would let you know that our next programme (the second - hope you managed to catch the first programme) will be out shortly. We are covering some questions concerning ‘taste’ - that multi-faceted subject which is so hugely misunderstood and is so complicated. We try and answer some basic questions: is food and wine matching so important? What is the biggest influence on your senses when you taste a bottle of wine? Does wine taste differently today to the way it tasted, say, thirty years ago? Does the geographical location of where the wine is produced show through in its taste? What is the flavour of Pinot Noir? How does a wine-maker reconcile his desire to produce the truest type of wine to its ‘terroir’ and still satisfy you!?

Join us: Fabian Cobb will be talking to author Michael Broadbent (UK), author and wine-maker Armin Diel (Germany), Michel Bettane (France), sommelier and wine educator Marnie Old (USA) and scientist Ron Jackson (Canada).
