People in Wine

In the current programme (no. 4) we interview two sparkling wine producers (sic!) about their techniques and their objectives - Rob McNeill from Mumm Napa (USA) and Natalia Fryar from Jansz in Tasmania. Richard Juhlin gives us his thoughts on some perfect food matching for Champagne and sparkling wines. You can hear this podcast on iTunes or through www.podomatic.com or various other podcatchers. It is also available to stream from our site www.finewinepress.com.

Our next programme is a special seasonal edition - an hour long investigation into food and wine matching around the world. I’ll be talking to wine experts, restauranteurs and sommeliers in Sydney, Australia (Dr Ron Georgiou, MW), Atlanta, USA (Hervè Pennequin, Nikolai’s Roof), Cologne, Germany (Claudia Stern, Vintage), Cape Town, South Africa (Frank Swainston, Constantia Uitsig), Padua, Italy (Rafaelle Alajmo, Calandre), St Petersburg, Russia (Tony Gear, The Old Customs House), and Paris, France (Philippe Marques, Senderens). In addition we have a sound clip from a DVD entitled the Four Seasons of Château d’Yquem with Alexandre de Lur-Saluces speaking to Roland Daugareil comparing the soils of Yquem to that of Daugareil’s Stradivarius. Don’t miss it - there are some enlightening conversations, all with a seasonal touch.
